November 2007 We are thinking of adding some other new things, pictures when we make the decisions!

In June of 2005 our "new"  house turned 5 years old and we decided to add some color to the rooms. Pippa and his painting crew were there for five days and they did a great job.

 The downstairs guest room and bath are now a yellow sponge with a green border and a red lower base in the bedroom. We wanted to pick up the colors in the bedspreads and head boards.      

In the living room we used the green from the guest room stripe and the green in the leaves in the big hutch to paint the fireplace, and the niches where the hutch and the buffet sit. In the kitchen we used the same green on the range chimney and then yellow on the walls. This matches the tile border in the kitchen.

The master bath has green and terra cotta in the tile colors. They ragged? this finish and the cabinets are now the same green as in the tile. The foyer bath was just blue and cream tile so we punched it up with the color called thistle. Me in the mirror there taking the picture complete with flash is a bit surreal <G>.

This is the mirador construction done over a year ago.

Birds of paradise, lemon trees, rose trees, bush beans, all part of my farm in the sky. The covered part  of the mirador, and the entrance to the new bedroom and bath.
